QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate
  • Valid Principal Certificate preferred
  • Knowledge of effective research
  • Ability to plan, implement, deliver, and sustain professional development for teachers and instructional leaders
  • Advanced knowledge of curriculum practices, instruction, assessment and intervention.
  • Recommended by the ESC Executive Director
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and acceptable

CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Processes all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintains professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
  • Demonstrates punctual and regular attendance on the job
  • Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
  • Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC
  • Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
  • Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures
  • Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor

DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide professional development and technical assistance on research-based instructional strategies, effective teaching practices, curriculum alignment, and instructional resources, including TEKS RS, Texas OER (Bluebonnet Learning), and TCR.
  • Design and deliver workshops on developing and adapting K-5 math strategies, instructional units, and curriculum documents.
  • Facilitate training on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for K-5 math, including related technology applications, to support state-mandated assessments.
  • Analyze STAAR and local assessment data to recommend appropriate interventions, instructional strategies, and enrichment for K-5 math.
  • Support the integration of technology into the math curriculum through targeted professional development.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and other relevant professional organizations.
  • Provide technical assistance to districts to enhance math instruction and student achievement.
  • Coordinate and implement effective training, staff development, and technical support aligned with program and project objectives..
  • Manage the collection of data and draft reports to meet ESC requirements for continuous improvement.
  • Travel within and outside the region (using a personal vehicle) as required to support program initiatives and district needs

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Up to 226 working days
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
