QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Three Years clerical experience preferred
- Experience using email, word processing, and office computer applications
- Electronic file management experience
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Any acceptable variations of the above as approved by the Executive Director
- Recommended by ESC Executive Director
CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
- Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job
- Report for work ready to perform responsibilities
- Support the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC
- Uphold and adhere to safety rules and policies of the ESC
- Perform professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures
- Meet proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
- Incorporate appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
- Exhibit professionalism in all situations at the ESC
- Develop collaborative and positive relationships with schools and co-workers
- Exhibit planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects
- Ability to take initiative and exhibit innovative thinking
- Keep supervisor advised of all pertinent financial and operations business

DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline
- Ability to take personal initiative and assume ownership for projects and work

- Willing to work as a member of a team but also independently
- Uphold confidentiality of the information processed in all work, if required
- Respond to district and campus personnel with an attitude of service
- Attend all departmental staff meetings and general staff meeting
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Region 8 ESC
- Contribute to the accomplishment of departmental, Leadership & Instruction Team, and organizational goals
- Support the vision, mission, and beliefs of Region 8 ESC
- Attend and contribute to department meetings
- Process requisitions and purchase orders for department
- Incorporate appropriate technology in daily work and exhibit continual growth in technologies
- Communicate with the public, teachers, and other staff, answer the telephone, relay messages, answer questions according to prescribed procedures, open and distribute mail, and collect information
- Type and maintain files of correspondence, reports, office records
- Prepare and disseminate reports, records, forms and correspondence
- Maintain appropriate documentation as outlined in the grant.
- Compile information and statistics for reports requested by the Texas Education Agency
- Maintain a filing and record system
- escWorks - Maintain workshop information for consultants and coordinators (including but not limited to, preparation, setup, registration, and cleanup)
- Track center expenditures against the grant budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Executive Director and/or Executive Director
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS
Additional projects as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Up to 226 working days
- This is an at-will employment position.
- In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing
